Well in the past I’ve heard it referred to for the unveiling of a new baby. Invite some friends over to meet the baby and have a little wine and cheese. So we decided to have some fun with our “new baby”. We had so many friends that wanted to see it before the renovation so we decided to have our own Sip & See. We had taken possession of the house on a Wednesday afternoon and Richard had the demo crew lined up for Thursday…can you say “anxious”. But I talked him into starting on Friday, so Thursday night we had our little open house. It was raining (of course) but we were thrilled that we had about 40 people come to take a look. Wonder what our new neighbors thought since we hadn’t even moved in yet??? Everybody seemed to really be excited for us and loved the house and the opportunities that it presented for our vision. We posted the “as-built” of the house as it was, along with the new design for all to see. Richard channeled his best “Chip” and we had a little fun with our friends and family offering their best advice for the upcoming remodel…well the walls were coming down anyway!

This is great! Thanks for sharing.
